On Thursday, June 1st, I had the opportunity to launch a project that I have been working on for the past two years. After getting support from the City of Novato, the Rotary Club of Novato and community members of all ages, my dream came true! After experiencing the joy of playing pianos in train stations, airports, and on sidewalks in cities that I have traveled to, I knew that Novato would be the perfect place to do the same thing.
Tiffany Loza, a San Marin High School Student, submitted the beautiful design that the City Commissioners unanimously voted for. This is a pilot program for the summer months only. Our hope is that, if it is successful, we will put 20 pianos out and about in our city next summer - not only on sidewalks, but in parks and playgrounds etc.
DREAM BIG, my friends. And then do it. Take action. Don't hesitate. Be patient: you all know how hard that it is for me, but it worked!
